O M Yoga-Chair Yoga

Beginner Level Chair Yoga is a gentle-flow style of yoga that is suitable for all abilities but is especially helpful for individuals with desk jobs, mobility and joint issues, or those that have a hard-time constantly getting up or down on the floor, as with more traditional forms of yoga. Chair Yoga uses simple folding chairs with mats and blankets for extra support. We sit, stand, and use the chair as a support all while improving range of motion, flexibility, and helps to reduce stress. Chair yoga teaches breathing techniques, poses, and mindfulness.

This style of yoga focuses on holding poses for several breaths before transitioning into the next pose. Hatha teaches students to be still and mindful of how their bodies feel in each pose. This class promotes strength, stability, and endurance of all muscle groups while increasing flexibility and helping to reduce stress.
